OUR PASTOR

Brett Patterson came to Hatch Bend Baptist Church as pastor in August of 2011 after spending 14 years as an associate pastor in Warner Robins, GA.  His wife of 17 years, Kimberly, is a Spanish teacher with Florida Virtual School.  Together they have three children.  Brenna, Braylon, and Bristol keep Brett and Kimberly on their toes!

Brett and Kimberly have a passion for missions and they have served around the world on short term mission trips in North America, Europe, South America, Guyana, and Africa.  Brett also currently serves as the Interim Director Of Missions for the Lafayette Baptist Association.

In their spare time they love to travel with their family, enjoy the outdoors, hunt, fish, play games, watch movies, and laughter usually fills their home.

They both graduated from Georgia Southern University where they met in the spring of 1998. They are proud to be GSU Eagles!

Brett's life verse is Ephesians 6:19, "And for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel."

One of Kimberly's favorite verses is Isaiah 30:21, "Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, 'This is the way, walk in it, Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.'”

OUR CHURCH

Our church was founded in 1862 and has seen many changes over the years.  The church, as it's name would indicate, is in Hatch Bend, a small community outside of Branford, FL.  Hatch Bend was settled by the Hatch Family in the bend in the Suwannee River.

We are grateful and blessed to be part of a church that has lasted for all these years. While we want to see the doors of HBBC remain open for years to come, our ultimate desire is not length of years, but faithfulness of service to the Lord Jesus Christ.   Our aim is to teach people to "love the Lord God with all your heart," to "love your neighbor as yourself," and to "go therefore and make disciples."  We desire to produce "Great Commission" and "Great Commandment" believers.  We want to hear Jesus proclaim to us, as well as others, "Well done my good and faithful servant!"

We are a Southern Bapist Church and align ourselves with The Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

If you are looking for a church home, it would be our honor if you would visit us.  Consider this your invitaion to come see us!
